MORATALLA - SPAIN

Hello

Yesterday I received 2 postcards from Ayuntamiento de Moratalla. Thanks a lot.

We can see a view at susnset (beautiful) end castle at night.

Moratalla's sights include the Fortress Castle a military-gothic style building which dates from the 15th century. There is also an Arab castle in Benizar, built in the 12th century.

The Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Asuncion dates from the 16th century). Other churches include Santa Ana or San Francisco and the "House of Christ", on the mountain, built by the Order of La Merced from the 16th century.

There are two Roman bridges in Moratalla: the Jesus Christ Bridge over the Benámor River, and the Hellin Bridge over the Alhárabe River.

We can see The Freedom Monument - is a memorial located in Riga,Latvia, honouring soldiers killed during the Latvian War of Independence (1918–1920). It is considered an important symbol of the freedom, independence, and sovereignty of Latvia.^[1] Unveiled in 1935, the 42-metre (138 ft) high monument of granite, travertine, and copper often serves as the focal point of public gatherings and official ceremonies in Riga.

VARNA - BULGARIA

The Varna Opera House was registered under the name of Varna Public Opera House on 6th April, 1947 and was officially opened on 1st August of the same year. Stefan Nikolaev was appointed as its first Director and Peter Raichev, the distinguished Bulgarian singer, was invited as the first Art Director.

Is a late 19th-centuryBulgarian former royal summer palace and park on the Black Sea coast, 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) north of downtown Varna. Since 2007, it is also the venue of the Operosa opera festival. Euxinograd is situated at an altitude of 49 m.^[1] The park and palace are closed until the summer of 2016 due to extensive renovatons

OPATIJA - CROATIA

FONTAINES - SAÔNE-ET-LOIRE

The village owes its name to the numerous source which spring from his territory. 
We find tracks of Roman time there. 
The village belonged to the Lords of Fountains, who built a castle, then to the bishops of Chalon there, who freed the inhabitants in 1299. 
The castle was plundered and destroyed in 1569.
 There was one prioress Benedictine, a chapel (Saint Nicolas) and several washhouses.

ARCHIDONA - Historic-Artistic Site MALAGA - ANDALUCIA (SPAIN)

The city was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1980 for Baroque urban and architectural heritage.The municipality is home to several archaeological sites from different periods and areas of ecological interest such as the Natural Lagoons Reserve of Archidona and Hoz de Marín. It is also the headquarters of the Andalusian and Mediterranean Cinema Displays.

Moorish Castle

At the time of the Moorish occupation it was impenetrable, with its three layers of ramparts protecting it and with an imposing rock face behind it.

The Hermitage of La Virgen de Gracia

This hermitage (ermita) and sanctuary is dedicated to the devotion of the patron saint, La Virgen de la Gracia. This is a unique site in Andalucia because it has been built on the original site of the Arabic Mosque, while all others were destroyed.
